A press conference on the occasion of presenting the visual identity of the 64th Pula Film Festival was held in the Valli Cinema lobby, on Wednesday, 8 March 2017. Head of this year Festival's Production Department Nataša Šimunov, the Pula Film Festival Public Institution, as well as authors of the 2017 advertising campaign (Studio Sonda d.o.o., Poreč) Sean Poropat and Jelena Fiškuš addressed the audience. The conference was attended by the County of Istria Head of Culture Department Mr Vladimir Torbica, director of the Pula Tourist Board Sanja Cinkopan Korotaj, director of Pulapromet d.o.o. Igor Škatar and director of the Pula Film Festival Public Institution Gordana Restović.
Nataša Šimunov, Head of Production Department, welcomed everyone and expressed her satisfaction as regards of the traditional cooperation with Studio Sonda d.o.o., in charge of Festival's visual identity for the past six years. Croatian Telecom, Partner of the Festival, has been following and supporting the Pula Film Festival for the past 15 years.
This year once again, the Pula Film Festival has continued a long term fruitful cooperation with Pulapromet. The visual identity has been displayed today for the first time, by way of information boards at bus stations and in city buses, which makes our message travel around the town, Šimunov pointed out.
The authors of the advertising campaign said: "The visual Identity is based on the fact that the Pula Arena is the largest open-air cinema in Croatia and this makes the film watching experience more intense, considering the fact that it is shared by a large audience and films are watched on a large screen. To be precise, the 19.10 x 8.9 m one. This is the reason why the advertising space format has been selected as a tool that directly indicates the size of the screen. In our advertising campaign, every advertising surface transmits only a fragment of the screen and points to the surface that we would have to imagine in order to perceive the full picture and reach the strength and the size of the Arena screen. And what will happen when the picture opens itself fully, this being possible only in the Arena? Well, let’s wait for the opening of the Festival.
The Head of the Production Department took the opportunity and invited all guests, representatives of the media and the audience to visit this year's 64th Pula Film Festival that will run 15 - 22 July 2017.
