The 64th Pula Film Festival will welcome the great director Antun Vrdoljak tomorrow. Vrdoljak will present his film The Glembays at 7.15 p.m. at Valli Cinema.
The Retrospective will mark the 60 years of work in film by this great director, whose film debut was as an actor in Nikola Tanhofer’s film It Was Not in Vain in 1957.
For adaptations of Croatian literary works will be screened, directed by Vrdoljak: Snowstorm (1977), based on the play by Pero Budak, Cyclops (1982), based on the novel by Ranko Marinković, The Glembays (1988), based on the play by Miroslav Krleža, and Carnival, Angel and Dust (1990), based on the novellas by Ranko Marinković. The Retrospective is organised in cooperation with Jadran film and Croatian State Archives.
