Paintings by Predrag Milošević from the cycle Purple and Turquise are an intimistic art of figurative direction of sorts, relying heavily on the skills and reflection of old masters and the traditional values of Flemish, Spanish and Venetian artistic expression. By a compilation of subtle drawing, with carefully chosen colours, the artist removes the veil of dust from the Western European cultural-historical tradition of the 17th century and reveals the beauty of the classic ideal, an escape from reality.
Predrag Peđa Milošević (1960) graduated in painting from the Faculty of Fine Arts in Belgrade in the class of professor Rajko Nikolić. Over the last several years, he has had more than forty exhibitions in both Serbia and abroad.
