Children's Film Days
The Valli Cinema, 16. - 20. November 2016.
This year once again Pula in an Overcoat continues with its mission to promote a culture of film-watching in children aged between 4 and 12. From 16 to 20 November, the Valli Cinema will present about ten feature and animated films with characters from a broad array of European and world cultures who will lead young spectators and their company through a number of different topics such as friendship, education, family, love, pets, nature, idols, imagination, dreams, etc.
Films will be rated by a seven member professional children’s jury but at the end of each film the audience will rate films as well. Apart from enjoying new films, children will be able to create animated flipbooks as well as draw their favourite animated characters that will be exhibited for the duration of the Pula in an Overcoat programme and up until the end of December in the Valli Cinema lobby.
This year’s Pula in an Overcoat programme strives to be more than a “place” where one can sit comfortably watching films and eating warm popcorn. In cooperation with Pula associations and events, the programme will be extended with additional contents, such as goodnight stories, puppet theatre, possibility to buy books and other interesting and unique products for children.
During the opening ceremony in the nicely decorated Valli Cinema, a buffet will be served and guests will be able to enjoy a children’s concert. We are also preparing a number of surprises so as to make this year’s Pula in an Overcoat special and unforgettable.
