Volunteer at the 64th Pula Film Festival!
Pula Film Festival calls all interested individuals to apply for a volunteering position and become part of a team of volunteers that will take part in preparing and realising the longest-running film festival in Croatia.
Volunteer activities?
The volunteers will have the opportunity to try their hand at activities at various locations of the Festival, and at several department of the Festival, in both preparations and realisation. The department of the Festival whose team the volunteers will be part of are the press, hospitality and marketing, and the technical and production department.
Press, technical, hospitality… Which department is for me?
The activities within the press department are preparing the needed press materials, distributing the materials, and communicating with the press. Some of the activities in the hospitality department are related to preparing festival and sponsorship gift packages, and grouping and issuing of credentials to all guests of the Festival, while the marketing department includes all segments of preparing and distributing sponsorship material needed for the various programmes of the Festival. In the technical department, volunteers take part in installing and deinstalling all necessary equipment at various festival locations, while the volunteers of the production department participate in activities such as setting up workshops, film screenings and conferences - which take place at various festival locations, including the Valli cinema, Istrian National Theatre, the Arena, and many others.
In what period does it happen?
Volunteering at the 64th Pula Film Festival is scheduled from July 12 to July 23, and consists of pre-festival activities (July 12-14) and festival activities (July 15-23).
Who can apply?
Anybody who wants to meet new people can apply. We would therefore like to call high-school students, college and university students, young and somewhat older film lovers, or those who are yet to get to love film, who are over the age of 18 to join the team of volunteers of the 64th Pula Film Festival! We are also offering an opportunity to those who are underage (15 to 18 years of age). They can become a part of the team of volunteers, provided they submit parental consent.
And… How can I apply?
You can apply by filling in the application form and submitting a short resume and your photo.
What do I get out of volunteering?
Apart from a unique festival experience, the volunteers will expand and upgrade their existing knowledge and skills within their area of interest. Also, all volunteers will have festival credentials, which means they can go to all festival programmes for free. Volunteers will also receive the official T-shirt of the 64th Pula Film Festival, the festival booklet, and will be provided hot meals for the duration of the Festival.
And… What about accommodation?
Imagine this – summer, sunshine, beach… and Pula Film Festival! This year, all guest volunteers have been secured camping sites at the Arena Stoja Camp for the duration of the Festival (you have to have your own camping equipment).
