Are dreams real? Most of us live our days firmly planted in the material world, ignoring or forgetting about our dreams when we wake up. What if we had an ever-present window through which we could observe and interpret the spiritual interwoven with the material and physical, awake or sleeping? Our spirit would start communicating with objects to discover new worlds. Our consciousness would become entangled with its surrounding. This window silents the everyday machine and invites us to explore and wonder again as children do. Ghosts of New York are still images taken through that window in a city that never sleeps. Jelena Vukotić was born in Pula and has graduated in Fine Arts at the FAMU Academy in Prague. Her photographs were published in The New Yorker, The New York Times, Forbes, etc.
