Other than an extremely abundant programme and an impressive number of films, one of the specific features of the 64th Pula Film Festival is an entirely new location - the beach Ambrela, where film adventures will experience a new dimension - through the programme Ambrela - Cinema by the sea, intended for young film lovers. The films were selected by taking into consideration the quality, but also the theme: issues of growing up, friendship, first love, relationship with parents.

Contemporary Croatian, European and world feature films, and feature and short animated films at the 64th Pulica have had excellent success at numerous film festivals for children and youth. They open the path to other, unknown cultures and various film expressions, and are an inevitable part of the festival programme as a whole.

The following short films have been selected: Jonas and the Sea (Zeezucht), Marlies van der Wel, The Netherlands; Revolting Rhymes – Part 1 and 2, Jan Lachauer, Jakob Schuh, Bin-Han To, Great Britain; Spill, Aaron Lester Ellis, Australia; Sing (Mindenki), Kristóf Deák, Hungary.
In the category Student programme, a selection of Croatian, European and world films will be screened, including feature, mid-length and short films.

Pula Film Festival has also selected this year’s Young Cinephiles Jury, with nine members across three categories: Croatian programme (Croatian film and co-productions) - Matej Beluhan, Rahela Vešković and Karlo Žganec; International programme and Cinema by the sea - Petra Galović, Enid Vidaček and Lucija Majnarić; Student programme and Short Pula - Daria Keršić, Rea Bušić and Adnan Bajrović.
