Cinemaniac > Think Film 2017 deals with the relationship and the effects of television on the early stages of an art video production, in three exhibition parts. The works by artists presented at the exhibition Video Television Anticipation challenge the cultural effect of television and its authority. Artists: Sanja Iveković, Dalibor Martinis, Tomislav Gotovac, Ivan Faktor, Apsolutno, Zhel, and others. The Aneks Gallery will hold the exhibition part Desktop Cinema: Digital Narratives and Post-Internet Art, which speaks of the influence of the internet on contemporary video. The exhibition points to the shift in interest towards new media forms and formats, the Internet, digital distribution platforms, and a new post-Internet aesthetic. The third segment focuses on the practices and the institution of television. After their showing on Croatian Radiotelevision Channel 3, the Gallery will host New Collections – works created by artists, and produced by Croatian Radiotelevision: Dalibor Martinis, Ana Hušman, Žižić/Kožul, Tomislav Šoban, Lightune g.
Cinemaniac > Think Film is an ongoing research platform, which questions the relationships between film, moving images and contemporary art. It was established in 2002 at the Pula Film Festival.
