Set in the back streets of Trieste, this feel-good, Bollywood-like film highlights the power of sisterhood. Young Indian immigrant Kamala and her parents have just moved into a tenement with other immigrant families –andan old Italian teacher who accuses them of eating local cats. Asan eviction notice looms, different women of each family fight together to save their home.

Gigi Roccati (1979) holds a master’s degree from the London Metropolitan University. He is an author of several documentaries (The Road to Kabul), and is currently working on his second feature film Land of Silence. He teaches at the Scuola Holden in Turin.
