Didi Orsić, a wealthy heiress, is vacationing in Split. Her fiancee gives her a speedboat as a present for her birthday, but she has a minor accident on the sea. She is rescued by hydropilot Marko Vuković, who takes her to the island of Zlarin. With the help of his father and his father’s adopted daughter Anka, he works on Zlarin to try and modernise coral extraction. Didi and Marko fall madly in love, but they have to overcome a lot of intrigue and turbulence in their love and social relationships in order to be happy together.
